These volunteers are named Joan Rehm,MaryLou Gelblum and Karen Green-McElveen. The Orange County Adult Care Home CAC is seeking your approval to appoint these three new volunteers to our committee. I have two advanced degrees in Special Education (PhD from UNC)and have worked in the field of IDD for decades. The duties of several jobs consisted of monitoring and reporting on the compliance of counties in providing appropriate services to persons with IDD, who had moved from institutions to their communities. Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: I take my Guardianship duties seriously and want all persons wih IDD to receive good care. I would also like to use the knowledge I acquired in my work as a legal monitor, in a relevant way. Conflict of Interest: None that I know of.
