Dear Robert:
At your request, DAA is pleased to offer this proposal for Aerial Services for the C & D landfill located at
the Orange County Regional Landfill Facility on Eubanks Road in Chapel Hill, NC. This proposal outlines
our understanding of the project scope, tasks to be completed, assumptions underlying our fee proposal,
and fees for the project.
I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project consists of an aerial survey services using a small unmanned aerial system (sUAS) aka drone
and conventional survey services to produce a topographic survey of the construction and demolition (C
& D) landfill.
II. SCOPE OF SERVICES
Draper Aden Associates will conduct an aerial topographic survey with an sUAS / drone aircraft of
approximately 8 acres, or the area associated with Phase 1 of the C&D landfill unit. An FAA licensed
Remote Pilot will conduct the flight operations in accordance with FAA rules and regulations. Aerial
flights are dependent on safe weather conditions. The topographic survey will include setting Ground
Control Points, locating ground control points and preforming check point measurements. The images
collected using the sUAS will be photogrammetrically processed to make a 3D Point Cloud and
orthomosaic image of the entire project. A draftsman will use the photogrammetric output to
generate the earth surface and contours at one-foot intervals.
III. FEES
Compensation for services and reimbursable expenses shall be based on the following fees except as
noted below. These lump sum fees will be invoiced monthly based on our estimation of the percentage
complete on each task.

IV. DELIVERABLES
The project deliverables will consist of a high resolution orthomosaic photo base image and
topographic plat without base image. Drawings are to be in AutoCAD format and presented to the
client in PDF form.
Please let us know if our scope and fee statements do not align with your expectations or project
budget. If everything is satisfactory, please confirm your acceptance of this task scope by routing it
through the County's standard DocuSign process and ensuring that an electronic copy if provided to
our office. Our receipt of the executed copy of this scope will serve as our Notice to Proceed. We look
