PURPOSE: To consider making appointments to the Commission for Women.
BACKGROUND: There is currently one At-Large, one Non-Chapel Hill/Hillsborough township,
one Chapel Hill Township and two Hillsborough Township vacancy on the Commission for
Women. The Clerk's Office has received a letter of recommendation from the Commission for
Women for the following candidates: Doris Jean Bynum, Natalia Deeb-Sossa, and Jennifer
Murphy.
The Clerk's Office is continuing to advertise for volunteers to fill the other vacant positions.

The Orange County Commission for Women (CFW) held a meeting on Thursday, March
10, ?005 and one of the actions taken by the CFW was to make recommendation for
appointment to the CFW. Thus, the CFW request the applications of the following
citizens be submitted to the County Commissioners for their consideration: Doris .lean
Bynum, Natalia Deeb-Sossa, and Jennifer Murphy.
