Tne Orange Cowty Doas'd of Commissioners met in adjourned session on Thursday, Sevter,.ber 11,
1958, at 10 o~clocit a.m. in the Commissioners Aoom at the courthouse Sn Hillsboro, N. C.
Members present: Chairman R. J. M. Nobbs, Crnunissioners Donald tJeDade, Donald Stanford,
''bright Ray and Henry iyaiker.

Mr. L. E. Eeazd, Vice President of the }y.. L. Paz cell Manufacturit> Compaq, apneazed and
requested the Poard to reduce the full value of the machinery located in the De1e-Vve plant
to X150, 000.00 as this is approxir..ataly what has paid for' this eouicmeat at the sale which

Tne Soard requested the Tax Supervisor to consult M_th the County ntturney concerning the
position the 13x. Supervisor took: on this matter and have hi;n report back to them at their
October meeting.
Mr. Aubrey novrard of Chapel Bi11 1'm~mship appeared and requested a reduction in valuation
from $7.4,910.00 to $12,500.00. Tne board set this value at 113,900.00.

The Tar Dupervisor Baas requested to examine the Roy Lindahal property and report his
flnding to the Eoard at its October meeting.
mere being no further business the Poard adjourned and immediately convened as a
Eoar'd of Cowty Commissioners.
A discussion of the coming ;1lcohnlic Perverage Control referendum in Orange County :vas held
and Co¢„issioner Stanford then moved that the Commissioners recuest the Board of Blection to
set the date of this election as 'hesday, ycbr-vary 3, 1959, rather than Satunlay, PeMuary 7,
1959, as mention_d in the motion hasped the Six st Tuesday in Deptember, 1958• In this motion
ras incorpated the provision that the Clarl; to the board of Cormissionex's hould direct a letter
to the Chairman of the Board of Clection diving official notification to the Board of
Election of the action of the Board of Commmissioners in calling this referendum and
mentioning yebrvary 3, 1959, as the date pret err ed by the Board of Commissioners as Lhe
election date.
There being no iur then business the meeting was adjourned.
