Clifton, Jr., County Manager Clarence Grier, Finance and Administrative Services Manager From: Tom Davis, Water Resources Coordinator Date: September 6, 2012 Subject: Contract for Jordan Lake Partnership Regional Interconnections Study As part of the ongoing Jordan Lake Partnership process, please find attached Supplemental Article No. 3 detailing the scope and cost breakdown for the Phase I Regional Interconnection Study undertaken as part of the Memorandum of Understanding Supporting a Regional Water Supply Partnership for Water Supply Planning and Potential Joint Use of B. Everett Jordan Reservoir dated March 16, 2009. DEAPR has the necessary funds ($3,480.00) in Account # 10695020 720120 for this project. Requested Action: Frank Clifton's signature is required on one original of the attached grant contract. Please call Tom Davis when ready (Ext 2513) or if there are any questions. Attachments Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation PO Box 8181/306-A Revere Road Hillsborough, NC 27278 (919) 245-2510 r JORDAN LAKE PARTNERSHIP SUPPLEMENTAL ARTICLE No.3 Regional Interconnections Study Pursuant to Section 5 of the Memorandum of Understanding Supporting a Regional Water Supply Partnership for Water Supply Planning and Potential Joint Use of B. Everett Jordan Reservoir dated March 16, 2009 (MOU), this Supplemental Article No. 3 defines the terms under which the Regional Interconnections Study will be undertaken by the Jordan Lake Partnership. The signatories to this Supplemental Article agree to reimburse the Lead Contractual Agency for actual costs incurred, according to cost shares defined below, up to the total cost shown. Project Lead Agency: Town of Cary Lead Contractual Agency: City of Durham Project Scope: The project scope is described in the Jordan Lake Partnership Potable Water Interconnection Study dated October 21, 2010, from Hazen and Sawyer (Attachment A). The scope for the Interconnections Study Project is Phase 1, Tasks 1,2, 3, and 4 and Phase 2, Tasks 1, 2 and 3. Project Cost: The total project cost is $80,000. Attachment A defines scope of the project in detail. Project Management Team: The Project Management Team will be made up of one representative from each of the signatories as appointed by that partner's Manager or Executive Director. Signatory Cost Shares: The costs will be split based on the relative Level 1 or Level 2 base charges each Partner is paying under the MOU.
