PURPOSE: To consider making appointments to the Commission far Women.
BACKGROUND: There are eight vacancies an Commission far Women. The Clerk's Office
has received recommendations from the Commission for Women for Cutler Wilson Andrews,
Teresa Derrick Smith, Mary Beth Hernandez, Vivian Herndon-Latta, Roberta Lee, Jennifer
Murphy, Lisa Stiffer, and Lisa Wilson.

RE: RECOMMENDED APPOINTEES TO TIC COMMISSION FOR WOMEN
The Orange County Commission for Women (CFW) held a meeting on Thursday,
September 09, 2004 and one of the actions taken by the CFW was to make recommendations for
appointment to the CFW. Thus, the CFW requested that applications of the following residents
be subnvtted to the Boazd of County Commissioners for their consideration: Cutler Wilson
Andrews, Teresa Derrick Smith, Mary Beth Hernandez, Vivian Herndon-Latta, Roberta Lee,
.Jennifer Murphy, Lisa Stifler, and Lisa Wilson..
The Commission for Women is conmutted to increasing the diversity of Commission
members and committed to preserving a geographical balance of representation whenever
possible, Tn addition, all of the applicants have voiced an active interest in advocating for
women, improving the quality of life for women in Orange County and a willingness and ability
to attend the Commission's meetings and participate in its projects..
