At the table (12): Seven Orange County Commissioners, County Manager, Deputy County
Manager, County Attorney, Open Seat for Staff, Facilitator
Invited Resource Persons/Staff: All Department Heads
Desired Outcomes:
• Identify areas of consensus among Commissioners on topics of. Affordable Housing, Transit,
and Economic Development
• Look for areas of interjurisdictional collaboration with school boards and four Orange
County towns with respect to the three identified topics: Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Hillsborough,
and Mebane

Orange County Commissioners) Maps and Overview followed by talk from board members;
discussion: what is an example of intergovernmental collaboration that has worked well, and
what is an example of where it has not; and for each, what was county's role in your example

• Open Discussion: Identifying priorities and consensus on affordable housing in Orange
County among the Board of County Commissioners
