PURPOSE: To consider final approval of the regular meeting schedule for the Board of County
Commissioners for calendar year 2005.
BACKGROUND: In accordance with 143.318.12 of the General Statutes, a schedule of regular
meetings shall be filed with the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. The schedule
must show the date, time and place of each meeting.
All meetings will begin at 7:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: Not applicable
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the final
schedule of regular meetings for the year 2005.

Attached is Agenda Item 5 -f (2005 BOCC Calendar) for the October 50'
BOCC meeting.
This memo is to clarify the number of meetings that are on the calendar –
For purposes of location, there are 50 actual meeting dates and 1
Retreat Date (location TBD)= 51
However, the total number of meetings is 57—(50 meetings, 1 retreat
(with location TBD), and 6 other same -day meetings that either occur
before /after an already scheduled BOCC meeting (such as staff
evaluations, dinner meetings, and work session (after budget
presentation)
If you have any questions /suggested changes prior to the meeting, please let
me know and I can provide updates /corrections at the meeting.
