PURPOSE: To consider appointments to the Housing Bond Project Review and Selection
(PRS) Committee in accordance with the County's Housing Bond Policy.
BACKGROUND: The Housing Bond Policy approved by the BOCC on June 2, 2004 includes
a provision for a Project Review and Selection (PRS) Committee to evaluate all project
proposals and make funding recommendations tc the County Manager. The PRS Committee
will be composed of up to two members of the Board of County Commissioners, up to three
members of the Affordable Housing Advisory Board (ARAB), three of the four following staff
people: Assistant County Manager for Human Services, Planning Director, Finance Director or
County Engineer) the County Housing and Community Development Director, and one
employee from Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Hillsborough Planning Departments. Following this
designated committee structure, the following persons are recommended for membership on
the Project Review and Selection Committee.

FINANCIAL IMPACT: The Committee will review proposals submitted in the remaining
funding rounds for the 2001 Housing Band Program. Total amount available is $2,960,000.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making appointments to the Project Review and Selection
(PRS) Committee.
