PURPOSE: To consider appointments to the Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC)
BACKGROUND: There is one vacancy on the ITAC. It is an At-Large Position. A letter of
recommendation has been received from the ITAC for Mr. Spencer Summey. Mr. Summey
would be serving a partial term ending December 31, 2006.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making an appointment to the Information Technology Advisory
Commission as the board desires..

Monica,
The Information Technologies Advisory Committee met yesterday evening. One of the items the
committee voted on was to recommend Spencer Summey to fill the current committee vacancy. As I
understand it, the committee makes the recommendation and the BOCC will vote on it at the next meeting
in which advisory boards votes are cast, Please keep me aprized as to the progress of this nomination.
Also, there is some confusion as to who will be rotating off the board in Dec, 2004, Can you confirm the
individuals who will be unable to serve beyond that date?
