BACKGROUND: There are two vacancies on the Advisory Board on Aging: one, At-Large and one, Chapel Hill Township. There is also an upcoming vacancy in a Chapel HiII Township seat when Ms, Florence G. Soltys rotates aff the Board on June 30th A letter of recommendation has been submitted to the Clerk's office for the At-Large vacancy for Dr. Janice Wassel, of 5204 Riley's Ridge Road, Hillsborough, NC 27278. Recruitment is in process for the other vacancies; several applications are on the interest list and those are being reviewed by the Advisory Board on Aging Membership Committee. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None, RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making an appointment(s) to the Advisory Board on Aging to an At-Large position, first term, expiration June 30, 2007, or as the Board of County Commissioners may decide.
