at 10:30 o'clock A. i•i. on Parch 17, 19$5, in the Cormissioners' Hoom at the Courthouse

The foil owing pars ons appealed property valuation:
hi. Ed Laws in Cedar Grove Township;
Mr. L. E. Heerd for the William [4. Harrell ?gig. Co. ir, Hillsboro Townshic;
Dr. H. S. 4ll llis of Tenny Circle 1n Chapel Hill Tormshin; and
Idr. Zane, Tax Agent for Burlington hulls which owns the Carrboro iloolen Mills in
Chapel H111 Toumship,
As there were no other appeals to be heard et this time, the Board adjourned end
immediately reconvened as a Board of County Commissioners.

School Board requesting a special election on the auesti on of adding to the Brea of
the Chanel Hill City Aaminis trative Unit Special School District. This petition was
referred to hfessrs, Graham and Rnns on, County Attorneys, for their onini on with the

meeting,

The Board of Commissioners of Oran ce County met in sne ci sl session at 10:30 o blocl:

The purpose of this spa ci el meeting was to receive a petition nr esented by the
Co untg board of Education and the Board of Education of the Ch anal Hill Administrative
Unit recces ting the addition of C¢rrboro and 'White Cross school~dist ric is to the
Chanel 5111 Administrative Unit.
ihr. A, H. Graham, County Attorney, reported to the board his findings concerning
the petition, and then read ¢ description o° the area to be ennesed into the district.

The County Accountant reported to the Board that the County Dog 4larden has suffered
s heart att ac][ and that he had secured a replacement for Idr. Boggs to work for a
salary oS ;y250.00 per month until the Dog 'rlarden is ¢b1e to return to his ,job. Phis
action met cri th the eonroval of the Board.
Mr, T, A. Burton, Seventh Dl vi sl on Engineer for the State ffighway Cormnissl on,
appeared and presented tentative road plans covering the neri od April 1, 1958 through
Sune 30, 1958, accompenied by work schedule, and also improvements alre edy made by the
Commis sl on Sor the period June 30, 7.957 through i•Iarch 31, 1950. htr. Burton reeves ted
that the Board approve these plans.
