PURPOSE: To consider one change in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
far the year 2004.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule. The Board of County Commissioners will consider amending
their regular meeting schedule by canceling the Quarterly Public Hearing, scheduled for
Monday, August 23, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at the F. Gordon Battle Courtroom in Hillsborough, North
Carolina since there are no public hearing items for that meeting and to schedule a Joint
Meeting between the BOCC and the Planning Board to be held at that same time on
Monday, August 23, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at the Government Services Center in Hillsborough,
North Carolina.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular
meeting calendar by canceling the Quarterly Public Hearing, scheduled far Monday, August 23,
2004 at 7:30 p.m. at the F. Gordon Battle Courtroom in Hillsborough, North Carolina since there
are no public hearing items for that meeting and to schedule a Joint Meeting between the
BOCC and the Planning Board to be held at that same time on Monday, August 23, 2004 at
7:30 p.m. at the Government Services Center in Hillsborough, North Carolina.
