I am a registered nurse with 10 years of trauma experience and over 15 years
experience working with Hospital Epidemiology, My role in Epidemiology has given me
the opportunity to work meet and work with many residents of Orange County and
various service organizations to include the Orange County Health Department, I grew
up in a farming community in N.C, and my children participated in 4H farm projects.
While I do not have any farm work experience outside of summer work while growing up,
I greatly appreciate the value that sustainable farming adds to the local community,

My county volunteer experience is limited to working with little league and soccer teams
while my sons were growing up. I worked as a volunteer for several years for MedWorld,
a UNC medical volunteer team that collects and recycles medical supplies to developing
nations, I was recently appointed to serve on the Ag Center Work Group and look

My reason for applying: I have lived and worked in Orange County since 1985, Both my
sons were educated in the Orange County Schools and later successfully completed
college degrees at UNC-CH and NC State University, Living in Orange County had been
a rewarding and enjoyable experience far me and my family and I would very much like
to give back to this community in a meaningful capacity, I grew up in rural N.C,, live in
the county and work in Chapel Hill. I feel I would be a good representative for the
