PURPOSE: To consider one change to the Board County Commissioners' regular meeting
calendar for 2018.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A -40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule:
• To add a joint meeting between the Orange County Board of Commissioners and the
Town of Chapel Hill Council on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 6:30pm at the
Chapel Hill Library, Meeting Room B, 100 Library Drive, Chapel Hill, N.C. for the purpose
of discussing Gateway Planning and Chapel Hill's Future Land Use Management
Ordinance revisions.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this item.
SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact associated
with this item.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board amend its regular meeting
calendar for 2018:
• To add a joint meeting between the Orange County Board of Commissioners and the
Town of Chapel Hill Council on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 6:30pm at the
Chapel Hill Library, Meeting Room B, 100 Library Drive, Chapel Hill, N.C. for the purpose
of discussing Gateway Planning and Chapel Hill's Future Land Use Management
Ordinance revisions.
