MINUTES HUMAN SERVICES ADVISORY COMMISSION l April 15, 1993 The regularly scheduled meeting of the Human Services Advisory Commission was held on Monday, April 15, at 7:15 p.m. in the Commissioners Conference Room, Court Street Annex Building, Hillsborough, North Carolina. MEMBERS PRESENT: Martha Branscombe, Chris Gambill, Bob Schmidt, Beverly Foster, Shirley Siegel, Tarleton Davis, Mary Davison, Jan Riordan, Barbara Warren, Page Fisher, and Rosemary Summers. MEMBERS ABSENT: EXCUSED: Phil Cooke, Jan Schopler, Don Willhoit and David Whitteda ANNOUNCEMENTS: Shirley Siegel invited everyone to attend the Community Health Care Forum scheduled for May 2nd. Rosemary Summers reported that the United Way funding application process begins next week. Albert Kittrell announced that the Library has officially become a department of county government. Also, MaryAnne Moore, Director of the Recreation and Parks Department, has resigned. Survey forms for the Friday center were distributed. MINUTES: A motion was made by Beverly Foster, seconded by Tarl eton Davis, to approve the minutes of the March 15, 1993 meeting, as circulated. VOTE: UNANIMOUS MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Rosemary Summers announced that her husband has been transferred out of state and she will be resigning effective immediately. Tony Dalton, Chair of the OPC Mental Health Board has agreed to serve on the HSAC. His name will be presented to the Board of Commissioners at their May 3rd meeting. NON - DEPARTMENTAL FUNDING REQUESTS: The remainder of the meeting was devoted to reviewing these requests. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. The next regular meeting of the Human Seryi ces Advisory Commission wi 1 1 be held on Monday, May 17, 1 992 in the Court Street Annex Building.
