Our task is to prepare a conceptual land use plan for the Planning Group to consider on November 16. At a minimum, we need to be as detailed as Map 14 in the UNC students' report. An example of what I hope we can achieve is the enclosed conceptual plan from the Chapel Hill Northwest Small Area Plan. I see our task taking at least two meetings with a substantial part of our first one being devoted to preliminaries and review. Please try to review_ the plan alternatives prepared by the students paying special attention to their land suitability analysis and the design concept, objectives, and process for each plan alternative. Also, please try to review the Rural Character option presented on May 18. I will try to have all relevant maps on hand for our meeting. Call me at extension 2589 at 732-8181 (Hillsborough), 688- 7331(Durham) or 967 -9251 (Chapel Hill) if you have questions; or FAX me at 644 -3002. cc: John Link, County Manager Verla Insko, Facilitator Marvin Collins, Planning Director Press overnor Burk S oG t faYB RO ARM VIEW RABBIT D BURKE RD GOVERNOR / 9 ROCKY u Q Hol Farm 1556 1555 at /} GOVERNOR UL PTREE RD BURKE 0 WS P4 LE SHAWNEE OR YYt to CT fR Fairview 1 ° 57 RA o Com _ ORANGE HIGH z SCH Ol '' H Ro Fa Park 86 Duc vE 1588 ° W x M T AQVI range Co my Orange /1NOMEM0 ER ST Public Wo ks RENCHER ST HS ■ m m t_! t; oHARP • y 9 m ® m LU 04 9p ANN ST c TO IN S tAIti'NDA E HOLMAN RD CW Stanford r a—i ¢ ^' o ° y! `^ MS o NANC FAIRVIEW Mars DR Hill = o PPIE o o a OR NEB -jut) ET—r or r W ° 81fY1@ slyo AFL Tabernac ho Ct o A unda life = C CIR ° h, Be °G BOUNDARY F F o a 'S+ OAK ST G Medical hr BEE TREE 10 OLE Sr a ° 4 ¢ ALMA A BUS E 70 R 0.9 CEDAR ST C9 0 0 Offices D80 RO Pp1Np E•P N, ° ~ O hood fDREELAN o Ln CORBIN ST E y IRTH Dfl X. ,•, CAW APHINE li a o Historical Society own Hall o } • W S A S o D= o Stan r ST ntES A a a -9ftAN6 m ST Istonc T E IMF T T oLaNe ° fl0o C3 ■s UNION a n OXFORD @O R Al n P _ '" Central NCQNnt-yHi r m @ m E Z ' ST PRUCE QUEEN sbo"Li h 0 11LL E ORO sT Central Services res Historical o ST C2 TRYO 1 W ■ UBT ` E C Bran ark C 0 N lE > AVER cn I e eth oun Jail Offic So nt at-thews Epis KI G T ount Bo rdE 92 99 9 3.
