MEMORANDUM
TO: Stoney Creek Preliminary Design Subcommittee
FROM: Gene Bell, Planner III )3
SUBJ: October 25 Meeting of Subcommittee
DATE: October 20, 1995
Our first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 25 at 7:00 PM in
Conference Room 1 of the Planning and Agriculture Building at 306F Revere
Road in Hillsborough (map enclosed) .
Our task is to prepare a conceptual land use plan for the Planning Group
to consider on November 16. At a minimum, we need to be as detailed as Map
14 in the UNC students' report. An example of what I hope we can achieve is
the enclosed conceptual plan from the Chapel Hill Northwest Small Area Plan.
I see our task taking at least two meetings with a substantial part of our
first one being devoted to preliminaries and review. Please try to review_ the
plan alternatives prepared by the students paying special attention to their land
suitability analysis and the design concept, objectives, and process for each plan
alternative. Also, please try to review the Rural Character option presented on
May 18. I will try to have all relevant maps on hand for our meeting.
Call me at extension 2589 at 732-8181 (Hillsborough), 688- 7331(Durham)
or 967 -9251 (Chapel Hill) if you have questions; or FAX me at 644 -3002.
