C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\Recommendatian Letter- Chuck Hobgood.doc The Board may recall considering this applicant in .January of this year. He was not appointed in favor of additional recruiting efforts geared toward attracting more women to the Council, to attain a more balanced gender ratio. Subsequent intensive recruiting efforts have yielded no additional female applicants, however our other nomination this evening is female. Ifboth aze appointed, a 7:4 (men:women) ratio would result, with our Hillsborough vacancy remaining unfilled. Currently, there is no female applicant from Hillsborough. RPAC is hopeful that recruiting efforts for this position may yield a female candidate within the next few months. RPAC strongly recorrunends, and requests the board reconsider Mr. Hobgood for this position. Thank you for your consideration of this nomination.
