Meeting Minutes, January 2, 2018

CALL TO ORDER by Vibeke Talley, Chair
• Members Present: Autumn Cox (Area Ombudsman), Jackie Podger, Jerry Ann Gregory,
Jerry Schreiber, Mary Fraser (Department on Aging), Karen Macklin, Vibeke Talley
(Chair), Susie Deter
• Members Excused: Martha Bell, Molly Stein, Carol Kelly
• Members Absent: Jennifer Moore, Peggy Lanier
OLD BUSINESS
• Discussion/Approval of Minutes from November 7, 2017.
NEW BUSINESS
• Ombudsman Report: Autumn reported on emergency preparations; Chapter with new
nursing home regulations currently on hold. Nothing to repor
• Site Visit Reports: Carolina Pointe (October 9, 2017): Accepted with the inclusion of
the last survey date.
• Department on Aging Report: Nothing to report.
• Reminders:
o Next Meeting: March 6, 2018 at which time the committee will discuss if the July
meeting date is to remain on the 3rd of July.
o Visits must be made each quarter.
