Frances Dilts Wescott: Writer, Editor, Strategic Communications I am a versatile writer and strategic thinker with skill in distilling complex data and — from that data — crafting compelling, well- organized messages appropriate to multiple audiences, formats and platforms. With a background in service to the public sector -- writing for both public television as well as for employee and volunteer trainings and other technical, internal communications — I am well - positioned to edit and organize existing technical documents for use among a broader constituency. II. Services Offered Reporting to: Corey Root, Homeless Programs Coordinator Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness 200 S. Cameron Street, PO Box 8181 Hillsborough, NC 27278 (919) 245 -2496 I propose to work with the Homeless Programs Coordinator of the Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness ( OCPEH) to edit the existing iteration of the HUD - required Written Standards into a document that makes the Partnership's scope of service, standards of service and entry process more transparent and understandable — both for partnering organizations and their leadership communities, as well as for prospective clients. Additionally, I will compose a one -page document that specifically delineates for both service providers and prospective clients the core purpose of the HOME Committee, how it functions (meeting and reporting specifics) and how its work is directly related to services for the Partnership's clients. This second document may also include the incorporation of existing infographics. III. Timeline for Services A. Working from notes taken during conference with the OCPEH Coordinator and requested edits received from partnering organizations, I will • Edit the existing 15 -page document to reflect changes made by Coordinator and partnering organizations • Make additional changes to the text • Propose reorganization of select portions of document • Map out location and propose necessary context of visual elements to be provided by third -party graphic designer This first phase of work should be done by or before 4 weeks after contract signature B. Providing the Coordinator at least ten business days to review this first draft, any additional edits and /or changes will be handed back to me for final consideration in a second iteration. I will incorporate edits and propose final additions and changes. This second phase of work should be done by or before 7 weeks after contract signature DocuSign Envelope ID: FCE70B2B- BDD5- 4805- A75F- 510898FD8EEC C. For the composition of the one -page HOME Committee document, I shall provide writing and editing services within the following timeline: • Composition from concept to completion will require up to 10 working hours. This project will be turned around in roughly 7 business days. IV. Payment of Services I propose to provide 80 hours of work on the preparation of the Written Standards, averaging roughly 5 hours per page for both phases one and two of the editing process. At a rate of $37.50 per hour, the preparation of the Written Standards would total $2,000.00. The cost of preparation for the HOME Committee one -page document (see III. C of Timeline) will be charged for 10 hours at $37.50 per hour, totaling $375.00. Contract total -- $2,375.00
