A RESOLUTION APPOINTING COUNTY REVIEW OFFICERS
WHEREAS, G.S. § 47 -30.2 authorizes the Orange County Board of Commissioners, by
resolutions, to designate one or more persons experienced in mapping and land records
management as "Review Officers" to examine each map and plat required to be submitted for
review before the map or plat is presented to the Register of Deeds for recording; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners has from time to time, in
accordance with G.S. § 147 -54.4, named persons, certified by the Department of the Secretary
of State as Property Mappers, as Review Officers for Orange County; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners now desires to designate as
Review Officers, Deborah Blaylock, Kimberly P. Cecil and Dawn B. Perry, all of whom have been
certified by the North Carolina Secretary of State as Property Mappers, and such certification
has been verified by the Director of the Orange County Tax Administration Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Orange County Board of Commissioners as follows:
1. That Deborah Blaylock, Kimberly P. Cecil and Dawn B Perry are hereby designated as
"Review Officers" pursuant to G.S. § 47 -30.2 in Orange County;
2. That the above named persons, shall comply with all statutory and regulatory
requirements and follow all procedures, prescribed by G.S. § 47 -30.2;
3. That this Resolution designating Deborah Blalock, Kimberly P. Cecil and Dawn B. Perry as
Review Officers be recorded in the Orange County Registry and indexed on the grantor
index in the name of each Review Officer.
