Other Comments:
I've had extensive experience in solid waste mgmt. I feel that NC is on the brink of a
crisis situation with regard to disposal options. I've had experience in a densely
populated NE state & saw this coming when we moved to NC in '94. On the arts side, I'm
a 3rd generation art dealer at present. This is more of a retirement career, as I grew up in
an art oriented family. STAFF NOTES: Originally applied 3/8/04 for Solid Waste Advisory,
Board; Arts Commission; CFE. 105 Arlen Park Drive, is in Southern Village, in C.H.
Township, within C.H. City Limits. MOAD/ncg.

Other Comments:
I grew up in Chapel Hill- went through the public school system here(Glenwood, Phillips,
and CHHS) I have seen some enormous changes in terms of demographics and
physical growth in the city and county neighborhoods. I am bi cultural and fluent in
Spanish and English and I believe that these attributes along with my legal backgroud
and observations over the years could be beneficial to the communtiy. Moveoever, I
bring approx. 18 years of loving in the Chapel Hill area and the awareness of its various
issues regarding housing, education and the like. I have seen changes in the various
neighborhoods, the rise of some and the decline of others, and would like to help bring
some balance. Please note that while my interests may lie in one area or another, my
ability to apply to those areas is limited by the town residency requirements. As for the
specific boards, I strongly believe that public access to god diverse art is essential for the
human spirit and that diginifed housing for all is essential and a planning board
comprised of a diverse group representing the overall community makes the strongest
decisions for the community. STAFF COMMENTS: Originally applied for Chapel Hill
Planning, and Board of Adjustment, and Chapel Hill Public Arts Commission- Application
was sent from Chapel Hill. ADDRESS VERIFICATION: 7112 Cresent Ridge Rd is in the

I have worked several customer service positions here in North Carolina as well as New
York. My most current and last two positions were in New York, I worked as a
Merchandiser Associate in Bloomingdale's. I relocated here because of the apparent
growth and overflow of North Carolina's history. I love the quiet peace here.
Volunteer Experience:
I have volunteered with the Department of Social Services in 92-93, 1 have volunteered
as a Big Sister in the Governor's One-On-One,Big Brother, Big Sister program. I have
worked in afterschool programs in my community. I have worked and served with Carver
Alumuni, such as assisting with Rainbow T's, and any other community function they may
have had.
Education:
I started my education at Mount Olive College, seeking a degree in English
