Agenda Items / Notes (October 9, 2014) Call to order Chair Gordon called the meeting to order at 5:35 PM 2. Introductions Introduction of members and staff 3. Next Steps - Community Use of School Facilities for Recreation — Alice Gordon (Orange County Commissioner) and Dave Stancil (Director Orange County Department of Environment, Agriculture and Parks & Recreation) • All municipalities have adopted • Orange County Board adopted on 9/4/2014 • Dave Stancil noted it was a milestone; for the County new fees are less butjanitor cost more. Still working on agreements • Anita Jones - McNair commented the town of Carrboro has appointed a School Board member to be a liaison to their Parks and Recreation Council • Erin Course — Thanked Commissioner Gordon for all her effort on making the resolution happen. 4. Special Presentation - Dave Stancil and Marabeth Carr presented Commissioner Gordon with a plaque, thanking her for her service on the Intergovernmental Park Work Group for the past 13 years. 8.
