Minutes of March 8, 2011
Members Present: Jonzella Bailey- Pridham, Lynda Baker, Patsy Barbee, Diane Beecham,
Martha Hoylman, Mark Johnson, Rashii Purefoy, Nannie Richmond, Jabrina Robinson and
James Stroud
Members Absent: Alex Babbitt
Staff Present: Tara L. Fikes, Roxanne W. Reynolds
Welcome /Introduction
Chair Patsy Barbee welcomed everyone to the meeting and she asked for a brief introduction for
the benefit of new members.
Public Comments - None
Minutes
Nannie Richmond made a motion to approve the minutes of the February 8, 2011 meeting and
Rashii Purefoy seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously.
Housing Bond Program Update
Tara Fikes distributed and reviewed the latest 2001 Housing Bond Program Update. She stated
that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has requested a copy as well. This Update is
incorporated as an attachment to the minutes.
Non - Departmental Funding Application Review
The Affordable Housing Advisory Board discussed and completed the Outside Agency Funding
Application Scorecards for the 2011 — 2012 fiscal year. The Scorecards are incorporated as an
attachment to the minutes.
Report of the Chair
Chair Patsy Barbee stated that she enjoyed the input /discussion from Board members during the
review of the funding applications and welcomed them again to the Board.
Department Report
Fikes gave copies of the 2011 Calendars to the new AHAB members. The Board agreed to
schedule a bus tour in the Spring for new members to visit affordable housing projects in Orange
County.
The Town of Chapel Hill has requested that the Advisory Board participate in the Affordable
Housing Strategy Outreach Sessions. The Board agreed to participate at the beginning of their
next meeting. An outline of the Strategy Sessions is incorporated as attachments to the minutes.
The April 12, 2011 meeting will be held at the Southern Human Services Center in Chapel Hill.
Other Business
None
Jabrina Robinson made a motion to adjourn the meeting that was seconded by Martha Hoylman
and approved unanimously.
