Minutes of March 13, 2012
Members Present: Lynda Baker, Patsy Barbee, Nannie Richmond, Arthur Sprinczeles
Members Absent: Jonzella Bailey- Pridham, Alex Babbit, Diane Beecham, Katherine Doom,
Martha Hoylman, Anna McDonald Dobbs, Rashii Purefoy and James Stroud

Welcome /Introduction
Co- Chair Linda Baker welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Public Comments
None
Approval of Minutes - February 14, 2012
The Advisory Board was unable to approve the minutes of February 14, 2012 due to the lack of a
quorum.
Outside Agency Funding Application Review
The Affordable Housing Advisory Board discussed and completed the FY 12 -13 Outside Agency
Funding Applications /Scorecard for the following organizations: Habitat for Humanity, Inc.,
Community Home Trust, EmPOWERment, Housing for New Hope, and Rebuilding Together of
the Triangle.
Department Report
The following items were reported:
• Tara Fikes reported that the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has approved a
policy to govern Orange County advisory boards. Fikes distributed and briefly discussed
the policy with board members present. This information is incorporated as an attachment
to the minutes.
• A draft copy of the Affordable Housing Advisory Board Policies and Procedures were
also distributed and reviewed by the Board members. Fikes stated that this document
would replace the bylaws. Board members were asked to consider the goals and
objectives to be included and send her their input. The draft Policies and Procedures are
attached to these minutes.
Other Business
None
Arthur Sprinczeles made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Nannie Richmond seconded the
motion. The motion was approved unanimously.
