Minutes of Tuesday, April 8, 2014

Welcome /Introduction
Nannie Richmond called the meeting to order. For the benefit of the HHRCD new Interim
Director, James Davis, everyone was asked to introduce themselves.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes for March 11, 2014 were presented, however; due to the lack of a quorum no
official action could be taken.
Department Report
James Davis shared the following
• The Orange County Expo that took place on April 4, 2014 at University Mall in
Chapel Hill was very well attended. He noted that pictures were posted on the
chapelboro.com website.
• He passed out the AHAB members the cards that were produced to help advertise
the AHAB and hopefully fill the current vacancies.
• He informed the AHAB that there is a group of people who have come together to
address "Section 8" housing issues that were caused after GSC properties
announced that they are no longer willing to start new leases and will not renew
current lease for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program recipients.
• That on April 24, 2014 at 3pm there will be an Affordable Housing Panel
Discussion on the WCHM radio station that he will be participating in.
