Roger Tate, Supervisor Lisa Pope, Adm. Asst. Kenny Ray, Soil Con Todd Roberts, Soil Con Chairman, Chris Hogan, called the teleconference board meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. May 14, 2014 Minutes were reviewed and approved as submitted. C. Parker moved for approval, R. Tate seconded. Cost Share Program (N.C. ACSP) The PY 2015 Strategy Plan was emailed to board members in advance, so that the board could prepare for today's meeting. After reviewing this document, the board agreed to approve the Strategy Plan. R.Tate moved to approve as presented, C. Parker seconded. T. Roberts and K. Ray submitted the following ACSP approval of CONTRACTS: ❖ Taylor Fish Farm 68- 2014 -001: Waste Application System totaling $4,943. (CS Funds. Ranking: 605) C. Parker moved to approve, R. Tate seconded. ❖ Randy Lloyd 68- 2014 -019 (Supplement to 68- 2011 -012): Waste Holding Pond Closure $ 5,355. (CS /Ranking: 635) C. Parker moved to approve, R. Tate seconded. ❖ Patrick Purcell 68- 2014 -018: Prescribed Grazing /Stream Protection Totaling $18,984. (CS & 11 Funds /Ranking: 550) C. Parker moved to approve, R. Tate seconded. NCACSP Request for Payments ❖ Randy Lloyd - 68- 2011 -012: Waste Holding Pond Closure (CS) totaling $6,935. ❖ Randy Lloyd — 68- 2014 -019 (Supplement to 68- 11 -12) Waste Holding Pond Closure (CS) totaling $5,355. ❖ Vernon Davis — 68- 2014 -401: Stream Protection System QL) totaling $18,300. R. Tate moved to approve the three (3) above requests for payments; C. Parker seconded. Educational Update The District will send one student to the upcoming Resource Conservation Workshop (RCW) this month. R. Tate moved to approve registration cost of $475 from the Due To Soil & Water Special Account; C.Parker seconded. Miscellaneous Discussion C.Parker moved to approve $30 from Due to S &W Special Account for Warm Season Grasses Workshop at the Cedar Grove Ruritan Club on June 10th; R. Tate seconded. The State's NCDA /Division of Soil and Water Supervisor Travel Funds were depleted in May, 2014. L. Pope requested to use Matching Grant Funds to reimburse members of the board who attended the May and June Board meetings. R. Tate agreed to approve payment reimbursement; C. Parker seconded.
