Meeting Summary
Date: March 1, 2017

I. Call to Order. Everyone in the group introduced themselves.
II. Additions or Changes to Agenda, Meeting Summary: approved
III. Report of the Chair:
a. Membership Recommendations (Eno Township; Chapel Hill Town Limits; Chapel Hill
Township and Bingham Township.) No recommendation for Chapel Hill Town Limits
and Chapel Hill Township seats as of yet. These areas will be deferred until the next
meeting. Frank Reynolds was recommended for Eno Township and Jennifer Moore
was recommended for Bingham Township.
IV. New Business
a. Recognition of members going off the board; Neal Bench; Allan Green and Joel
Bulkley. Certificates of appreciation were given to each from the staff.
b. Outside Agency Grant Evaluations (7 agencies)
Each of the board members was given two of the agencies in advance to evaluate.
Those members shared their review with the full Council as each of the grants was
discussed. All scores were reviewed, and decided upon as a group, with the group
score noted on the scoring worksheet to be sent to the County Manager’s office.
The PRC group scores were as follows: Bridge II Sports: 71; Big Brothers and
Sisters: 84; Boys and Girls Club: 85; Triangle Bike Works: 84; Rogers Eubanks
Neighborhood Association: 96; Cedar Grove Neighborhood Association: 100; United
Voices of Efland Cheeks: 97. A copy of each scorecard will be attached for the
record.
V. Old Business
Due to the length of time needed for the agency evaluations, this was postponed until
the April meeting.
