PURPOSE: To consider three changes in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
far year 2006,
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule,
The Board will consider amending its regular meeting schedule to add three meetings to
consider the qualifications of candidates for the County Manager position, These meetings
are likely to be closed session- only meetings.
Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 10:OOam at the Southern Human Services Center,
Roam D, in Chapel Hill, N,C„ and
Thursday, September 21, 2006 at 10:OOam at the Southern Human Services Center,
Room D, in Chapel Hill, N.C„ and
Friday, September 22, 2006 at 8:30am at the Government Services Center, in
Hillsborough, N,C.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular
meeting calendar by adding three meetings: Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 10:OOam
and Thursday, September 21 ~ 2006 at 10:OOam at the Southern Human Services Center,
Room D, in Chapel Hill, N,C., and Friday, September 22, 2006 at 8:30 am at the Government
Services Center, in Hillsborough, N.C.. to consider the qualifications of candidates for the
County Manager position. These meetings are likely to be closed session- only meetings.
