PURPOSE: To consider making appointments to the Orange County Board of Adjustment.
BACKGROUND: There are 2 vacancies on the Board of Adjustment, Also the terms of Karen
Barrows and Sharlene Pilkey expired on 6/30/2006, they are ineligible for reappointment,
It is important to note that the Board of Adjustment needs to have a full board, to ensure that a
quorum is present at all monthly meetings.

OTHER COMMENTS: Even though I don't have formal legal training, I am aware of and
have a good understanding of the legal aspects of BOA activities. During my previous
work with the board, I always tried to act in a logical, balanced, and consistent manner in
order to be fair to applicants and citizens, but also to minimize potential for legal
challenges that wotald consume County resources and expose the County to
unnecessary liabilities. STAFF COMMENT: Reapplied for O.C. BoA 6/23/2006,
