PURPOSE: To consider making appointments to the Adult Care Home Community Advisory
Committee.
BACKGROUND: There are currently five vacancies on this board, all terms will be for one
year, All new appointees are required to go through aone-year training period. The Adult Care
Hame Community Advisory Committee is nominating Tammy Thacker and Teresa Gill far
appointment to this board.

I have 2 items related to the Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee.
1. I am forwarding these 2 nominations for the Orange Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee for
consideration by the Commissioners for appointment. The nominees are Tammy Thacker and Theresa Gill.
The nominating aommittee for the Orange County Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee has nominated
Tammy Thacker for an open position on the aommittee. This nomination was agreed to by the greater aommittee, Ms.
Thacker has served in the healthcare community far fifteen years and has an understanding of the needs of the residents
living in adult care homes. The committee members are pleased she has chosen this committee as a means of advocating
for the residents of Orange county,
The nominating aommittee for the Orange County Adult Care Home cammunity Advisory Committee has nominated
Theresa Gill for an open position on the committee, This nomination was agreed to by the greater aommittee. Ms. Gill has
served the cammunity for many years was a volunteer guardian ad litem and also served on the board of directors at the
Dispute Settlement Center. She has an understanding and compassion for helping to advocate for the needs of residents
in adult care homes of Orange county, The committee members are pleased she has chosen this aommittee as a means
of continuing her valued community service.
2. Please remove Carey Corvette and Jeannette Clark from the Adult Care Home CAC membership roster. Carey has
resigned. His email is pasted below. Jeannette was appointed February 2006 and has yet to attend a training or a meeting
(Please Hate that she did not ga through the nominating process.) She has not communicated with us since February.
