PURPOSE: To consider making one BOCC appointment to the Rural Transportation Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND: Commissioner Jacobs has represented Orange County on the Rural
Transportation Advisory Board far the Triangle Area Rural Transportation Organization for 2
years. His current appointment will end June 30, 2006.. The new appointee will be serving a
two-year term, ending June 30, 2008. The RTAC meets every other month in Sanford.
FINANCIAL_ IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making one BOCC appointment to the Rural Transportation
Advisory Board.
