Dear Commissioners,
At the Board's November 20, 2017 regular meeting, petitions were brought forth which were reviewed
by the Chair/Vice Chair/Manager Agenda team. The petitions and responses are listed below:
1) Review and consider a request from by Commissioner Rich that the board consider a resolution
supporting a Medicaid Expansion Referendum, similar to the referendum recently held in Maine.
Response: Done- Resolution to be included on December 4, 2017 Board Agenda.
2) Review and consider a request from Chair Dorosin that the Board move forward with opioids
presentation at a BOCC meeting with time limits.
Response: Clerk to the Board will move forward with scheduling a presentation.
3) Review and consider a request from Chair Dorosin that the Chair send a letter to the Montgomery
County, NC Board of Commissioners expressing support for actions related to volunteer fire
department and confederate flag.
Response: Clerk to the Board to assist the Board Chair with drafting a letter.
