PURPOSE: To consider making one new appointment to the Animal Services Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND: The Clerk's office has received a resolution from the Town of Chapel Hill
recommending Caroline Green to fill the Town of Chapel Hill position on the Animal Services
Advisory Board. If appointed, Ms. Green will be serving a first full term ending 6/30/2009.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making one new appointment to the Animal Services Advisory
Board.

I have been a wildlife rehabilitator for over 20 years. I've also been one of the few fawn
rehabilitators here in North Carolina far 3 years.
I was a volunteer for The Carnivore Preservation Trust for 7 years and served on the
board of Triad Exotic Animal Rescue for 2 years.

My actual degree is in Computer Information Systems and I have worked, and continue
to work (from home) in this field for 22 years.
However, I have lived with and rehabilitated exotic and native species for my entire life.
Other Comments:
As somebody who deals daily with the public bath about wildlife and about animals they
have taken in as pets without doing proper research, I think I have a lot to offer this
board. I understand the dangers as well as the importance of many species that are
either unheard of by most people or misunderstood by the general public..
