SUBJECT: Change in BOCC Regular Meeting Schedule for 2018

PURPOSE: To consider one change to the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
for 2018.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule:
• To move the Tuesday, September 18, 2018 regular meeting TO Thursday,
September 20, 2018 at Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road,
Chapel Hill (due to the 18th being Yom Kipper).
FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this item,
SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact associated
with this item.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board amend its regular meeting
calendar for 2018:
• To move the Tuesday, September 18, 2018 regular meeting TO Thursday,
September 20, 2018 at Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road,
Chapel Hill (due to the 18th being Yom Kipper).
