Opening Comments - CHAIR JACOBS PLIBLIC CH.YRGE Tlae Board of Commissioners pledges to the citizens of~~r•ange County its respect. Tlae Board asks its citizens to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous manner, both with the Boar°d and with.fellow citizens. At any time should any member of the Board or any citizen fail to observe this public charge, the Chair will crsk the offending person to leave the meeting until that individual regains personal control. Should decorum fail to be restored, the Chair will recess the meeting until such time that a genuine commitment to dais public charge is obser~~ec~ All electronic devices such as cell phones, pagers, and compraters should please be turned off or set to silent/vibrate. Public Hearing* *At Public Hearings, Commissioners traditionally do not comment in order to allow citizens to have the maximum time to express opinions. Speakers may only sign up for themselves. The maximum speaking time allotted will be 3- minuteslper speaker. *Speakers are encouraged to leave written comments [if available) with the Clerk. PROCEDURES FOR PUBLIC HEARING: We are glad to have this opportunity to hear from the citizens of Orange County on the Manager's Recommended FY 2006-07 Budget and we hope that as many as possible will be able to speak within the time allotted. • Courtroom will not be available to the general public until 6:15 p.m. • The Public Comment Sign Up will begin at 6:15 p.m. • The Sign up area will have sign-up sheets-numbered numerically (please print legibly) • Sign up sheets and comments will become public records. • Speakers may only sign-up for themselves, to insure speakers are present. • The maximum speaking time allotted will be 3-minuteslper speaker.
