PURPOSE: To consider two changes in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
for year 2006.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule.
The Board of Ccunty Commissioners will consider moving the September 7, 2006 BOCC
meeting to Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at the F. Gordon Battle Courtroom in
Hillsborough, North Carolina (due to the NCAGC moving their annual conference from
August 17 to September 7th -10th). And consider moving the scheduled Work Session far
September 12th to Thursday, September 14, 2006 at the Government Services Center
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular
meeting calendar by considering to move the September 7, 2006 BOCC meeting to Tuesday,
September 12, 2006 at the F. Gordon Battle Courtroom in Hillsborough, North Carolina (due to
the NCACC moving their annual conference from August 17th to September 7th -10th). And
consider moving the scheduled Work Session for September 12th to Thursday, September 14,
2006 at the Government Services Center.
