Describe how you will evaluate the project Program evaluation: 1. Enumerate success: We will track attendance at each class, and hope to see class attendance grow at least 25%, a total of 25 students per week, over the course of the year To facilit. e this goal, we'll provide feedback for participants to let us know how they heard about the class, and adjust our publicity/marketing accordingly, DocuSign Envelope ID: 1BCF0634-CD89-4310-96E4-A32E6E1A91A6 6 2017-la OCAC Grassro Arts Program grant application: Oran ; County Historical Mus t um 2, See success; We will ask Me Ortega to evaluate students' progress, and make any curriculum changes required to support student growth, 3 Learn about success: We will interview students throughout the year, to get their evaluation of the course, and incorporate helpful suggestions into curriculum, class location and schedule planning to best accommodate students learning requirements. 4. Share success: We will work toward creating a year-end exhibition for the students', to share our artwork with the Orange County community. The exhibition will be held at OCHM, and will give our students the esportunity to receive critique (and compliments?) on their work from a broad audience. Renzo Ortega, Protect Artist—suppt;eneritary prolect narrativ This grant proposal is for an ongoing painting workshop at the Fairview Park in Hillsborough. The workshop is oriented primarily towards local families. We will leach basic painting and drawing techniques, as these skills will help participants to express and communicate thoughts and feelings. The goal is to stimulate the participant's visual language, teamwork, and the sharing of family and personal stories. This activity will generate conversations about different topics such as cultural background, traditions, immigration, family trips, social issues, etc. Learning about our n-ighbcrs' stories is an exchange that will help to improve the relationship between the members of the Hillsborough community. Inspired by Folk and Popular arts, we want people to paint their stories, creating contemporary narratives. Painting tells stories, documents events or communicates ideas. As well, it serves to build the cultural imagery of nations. For this reason, wherever we go, we take with us the forms and colors of where we come from. These are part of our identity and therefore it is necessary to share them. We want to motivate frequent attendance, as more hours dedicated to the making of art will make the pieces of better quality, and the participants will have access to more hours of painting practice. The weekly workshop will be in English but will also provide bilingual assistance for Spanish speakers. As well, we want to extend the scope of the workshop by adapting the classes and artwork to celebrations and important historical datr,s during the year, such as the Day of the Dead, 4th of July, Labor Day, holidays, etc. DocuSign Envelope ID: 1BCF0634-CD89-4310-96E4-A32E6E1A91A6 7 2017-111 ()CAC Grassroots Arts Program rant application; Gnaw County H"L tones!Museum etai led Proiect Budet Project expenses Explanation, Detaiis Grant request + matching = total amount funds expense A.
