The Board of Conaoi seioners of Or¢ngs County met in a special meeting on
July 22, 1955, at 8 p.m. called by the Chairman of said Board at the request
of the Orgp¢a,QQµp~j+~r~o¢rd of Public Pielfara. Members present: Chairman R. J.
lt. Hobbs, m s an , Edwin Lanier and Henry Walker. Members absent
Cammisslaner Ihvight Ray.
The Board of Public IYelfare was elso present and presented the following
requests to the Soerd of Commissioners.
1. That a $15.00 monthly deprecation allowance be allowed the
Supt and each of the four case workora, making a total of
x"900.00 per year.
2. That the present salary of Mary Frances Iienion ($220.00 monthly)
be raised to $240.00 por month.
3. That the present salary of Irma Jean Roberta (y190.00 monthly)
be ralsed to x'200.00 per month.
The Board of Commis sionora after a discussion on-said.requeats number
2 and 3 rominded the Hoard of 47elfare of the imaendiag fob claselflcation
program about to get undsr way in the county, and after a ~. to 0 vote
reaffirmed its previous position of no salary increases until after a final
complet lon of the fob classification program.
No other business being brought before the Board the meeting was
