SPECIAL MEETING
December 8, 1983
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in Special
Session on 1Thursday, December 8, 1983 at 1:45 p.m. in the
Commissiones Room of the Orange County Courthouse in Hills-
borough, North Carolina.
Commisioners Present: Don Willhoit, Chairman, and
Commissioners Ben Lloyd, Shirley Marshall, Norman Walker and
Richard Whitted.
APPOINTMENT OF THE AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION CHAIRMAN FOR ORANGE COUNTY
Upon al presentation from Dr . Hugh Liner and a recom-
mendation from the North Carolina State University
AgriculturalExtension Service relative to a Chairman for the
Orange County Agricultural Extension Service, Commissioner

Walker moved, Commissioner Lloyd seconded, the acceptance of

the recommendation of the North Carolina State University
Agricultural ! Extension Service of Mr. William Mainous as
County Chairman with the county paying the share as
recommended by the state. This appointment becomes effective
on February 1, 1984. VOTE: UNANIMOUS
With no further business to come before the Board, the
meeting was atdjourned.
