PURPOSE: To consider one change in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
for year 2006.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule.
Due to the Board's interest in continuing the discussion of school equity and the mounting
concerns with mental health reform, which will be on the March 13'h work session, the Board of
County Commissioners is asked to consider adding a work session on Thursday, March 15,
2006 from 4:00-6:30 p.m, at Southern Human Services Center riot to the already scheduled
7:30 p,m, CIP work session at Southern Human Services Center in Chapel Hill, N.C. (dinner will
be from 6:30-7:15 p.m,), to address other items of interest such as solid waste,

RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular
meeting calendar by adding a work session on Thursday, March 15, 2006 from 4:00-6:30 p.m,
at Southern Human Services Center riot to the already scheduled 7:30 p.m. CIP work session
at Southern Human Services Center in Chapel Hill, N,C. (dinner will be from 6:30-7:15 p.m.), to
address other items of interest such as solid waste,
