MINUTES JULY 1, 1983 $ #1/1fril A Special Meeting of the Orange County Board of Commissioners with the Town of Hillsborough was held in the Commissioner's Room, third floor, Orange County Courthouse, Hillsborough, North Carolina at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 1, 1983. All Commissioners were present. Ken Thompson, County Manager, presented the "Town and County Sewer Line Agreement" reading all the previsions including those changes discussed at an earlier meeting. He indicated and explained the source of funds available. All work will be done on a contract basis. Lynwood Brown, Town Water Commissioner indicated that the cost would be $3.16 per foot for the pipe. However, this cost will increase if any rock is encountered. The County agreed to pay the enginering cost with one (1) engineering company to do the work rather than two (2) firms. The engineering fees were grant eligible. The Mayor of Hillsborough agreed that the county would charge a tap fee of $200.00 and the town would determine its charge. Commissioner Marshall moved and Commissioner Lloyd seconded the approval of the "Town and County Sewer Line Agreement" with the noted changes. VOTE: Unanimous. Richard E.
