ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
SPECIAL MEETING
MAY 8, 1989
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special
session on May 8, 1989 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioners'
Library, Court Street Annex, Hillsborough, North Carolina.
The purpose of the meeting was to go into executive session
to discuss litigation.
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Moses Carey, Jr. , and
Commissioners Stephen Halkiotis, John Hartwell, Shirley
Marshall and Don Willhoit.
ATTORNEY PRESENT: Geoffrey Gledhill.
Motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by
Commissioner Marshall to return to executive session to
discuss litigation.
VOTE: UNANIMOUS.
Motion was made by Commissioner Hartwell, seconded by
Commissioner Willhoit to go back in special session.
VOTE: UNANIMOUS.
Chairman Moses Carey, Jr. adjourned the meeting. The
next regular meeting of the Board will be held on May 16,
1989 at 7:30 p.m. in the Courtroom of the old Post Office,
Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
