PURPOSE: To consider two changes in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
for year 2002.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule. The purpose for the April 3 meeting will be changed from Joint
Planning Area (JPA) to a BOCC work session. A meeting will be added for April 17, 2002 at
7:30 p.m. at the Southern Human Services Center in Chapel Hill for the JPA meeting.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular
meeting calendar by changing the purpose of the April 3, 2002 meeting to a BOCC work
session and adding a meeting for April 17, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. at the Southern Human Services
Center in Chapel Hill for the JPA meeting.
