PURPOSE: To consider formal adoption of the Commissioners ' Goals for
1993-94 .
BACKGROUND: At their annual Planning Retreat on December 12, 1992 , :
the County Commissioners provided direction to staff on amendments and
additions to the 1992-93 package of Board goals. In March 1993, staff
prepared a draft of updated goals, objectives, action plans, and
timetables for review by the Board. The Board of Commissioners
conducted a public hearing on May 18 to receive citizen comments on the
1993-94 goals, their priority, and their impact upon the 1993-94 County
budget. After the Board completed work on the 1993-94 budget, staff
made final proposed revisions to goal statements, action plans, and
timetables which the Board may wish to consider now for formal adoption
as the 1993-94 goals.
RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board adopt the 1993-
94 goals.
