PURPOSE: To appoint a Tax Assessor and a Tax Collector as
required by State law.
BACKGROUND: In accordance with NCGS 105-294 , Kermit Lloyd was
appointed by the Board to a two-year term as Assessor
effective July, 1991. This appointment will expire
shortly. In accordance with NCGS 105-349, John
Horner was appointed by the Board to a two-year term
as Tax Collector effective July 1991. This
appointment likewise will expire shortly.
RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board of Commissioners
reappoint Kermit Lloyd and John Horner to two-year
terms, effective July 1993 , as Assessor and Tax
Collector, respectively.
