PURPOSE: To conduct a public hearing on the Commissioners ' Goals for
1993-94 .
BACKGROUND: At their annual Planning Retreat on December 12, 1992,
the County Commissioners provided direction to staff on amendments and
additions to the 1992-93 package of Board goals. In March 1993, staff
prepared a draft of updated goals, objectives, action plans, and
timetables for review by the Board. At the April 5 meeting, the Board
of Commissioners scheduled a public hearing for May 18 to receive
citizen comments on the 1993-94 goals, their priority, and their impact
upon the 1993-94 County budget. After receiving public input, the
Board may wish to consider formal adoption of the 1993-94 goals.
RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board conduct
the public hearing on the 1993-94 Board goals.
