Opening Comments -CHAIR CAREY PUBLIC CIIARGE 77~e Board of Cot~amisa-ioners pledges to the citizens of Orange Count) its respect. 77~e Board casks its citizens to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous manner, both with the Board and 7vith fellow citizens. At any time should any member of the Board or any citizen fail to observe this public charge, the Chcair will ask the offending peason to leave the meeta'ng until that individual regains personal control Should decorum fail to be restored the Chair will recess the meeting until such time that a genuine commitment to this public charge is observed All electronic devices such as cell phones, pagers, and computers should please be turned off or set to silent/vfbrate. {7:35-8:00} 2. Public Hearing* *At Public Hearings, Commissioners traditionally do not comment in order to allow citizens to have the maximum time to express opinions. Speakers may only sign up for themselves. The maximum speaking time allotted will be 3-minuteslper speaker. (See public hearing procedures on reverse side) PROCEDURES FOR PUBLIC HEARING: We are glad to have this opportunity to hear from the citizens of Orange County on the Manager's Recommended FY 2007-08 Budget and we hope that as many as possible will be able to speak within the time allotted. • Courtroom will not be available to the general public until 6:15 p.m. • The Public Comment Sign Up will begin at 6:15 p.m. • The Sign up area will have sign-up sheets-numbered numerically (please print legibly}. • Speakers may only sign-up for themselves, to insure speakers are present. • The maximum speaking time allotted will be 3-minutes/per speaker.
