PURPOSE: To present a series of oral reports to members of the
community on County activities in several areas of interest.
BACKGROUND: One of the elements of "Project Orange County Connects" ,
which was discussed at the Commissioners ' Annual Planning Retreat on
December 12 , 1992, involves conducting at least one regularly scheduled
Board meeting in each of the County' s townships. The second of these
meetings is the March 8 meeting in Bingham Township. County staff will
make brief presentations on the following subjects:
1) Comprehensive Plan Element for Bingham Township
2) Orange County Budget - major revenue and expense components
3) Solid Waste Management - rural solid waste collection and landfill
site search process
4) Public Safety Issues
RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the report be received
as information.
