PURPOSE: To change the regular meeting calendar.
BACKGROUND: At the County Commissioners Goal Setting Retreat held on
December 12, 1992, the Board set as one of their goals to hold one of
their regular meetings in each of the seven townships beginning February
1, 1993 . At the last meeting, the Board approved holding the February 1,
1993 regular meeting at the Caldwell Community building in Little River
Township. Listed below are other changes to the regular meeting schedule:
March 8, 1993 - White Cross School (BINGHAM)
April 5, 1993 - Pleasant Green Community Center (ENO)
May 3, 1993 - Cedar Grove Ruritan Building (CEDAR GROVE)
June 7, 1993 - Efland-Cheeks Community Center (CHEEKS)
These are the only changes to the regular meeting schedule. The meetings
scheduled for February 16, March 23, April 20, May 18 and June 29 will be
held at the OWASA Meeting Room in Carrboro.
RECOMMENDATION(S) : Approve the "Notice of Change of Meeting Place" as
provided pursuant to N.C.G.S. 153-40.

WHEREAS, Generl Statute 153A-40 (a) requires the Board of County
Commissioners to fix the time and place' of its regular meetings;
and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners desires to change
the place of four\ of its meetings listed on the schedule of
meetings for 1993, \,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT IESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
that the meetings listed below/shall be made a part of the Regular
Meeting Schedule for 1993 :
March 8, 1993 - White Cross School, 3501 Highway 54 West,
Hillsborough
April 5, 1993 - Pleasant Green Community Center, Pleasant
Green/Road,\Hillsborough

WHEREAS, General Statute 153A-40 (a) requires the Board of County
Commissioners to fix the time and place of its regular meetings;
and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Commissioners desires to change
the place of four of its meetings listed on the schedule of
meetings for 1993,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
that the meetings listed below shall be made a part of the Regular
Meeting Schedule for 1993:
